Bad things going on all around us in society. Sadly, it is happening as it is supposed to.
"But know this, that in the last days, grievous times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, not lovers of good, traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; holding a form of godliness, but having denied its power. Turn away from these, also." 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (WEB)
Stand in prayer. Keep the faith. Most of all, do not fear.
"A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee." Psalm 91:7
How do you keep the faith and not fear? You do so by saying what God says and believing in your heart that He will bring it to pass.
Don't look to the left or the right or at what did not work for whom. Even if "whom" is you. Every day is a new day. Besides, you have no control over anyone else nor do you know the details of their life. Control your life. Believe and receive.

Love this.
"But Jesus said, “Allow the little children, and don’t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.” Matthew 19:14 WEB
This one goes well with it too.
"How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?" Romans 10:14 WEB
"How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?" Romans 10:14 WEB
I was thinking about this awhile back. When we have children, we are not only responsible for our relationship with God, but theirs too. I recall a time Mom and Dad didn't go to church but they made sure my butt was there every Sunday. My Grandparents took a car full of "chaps", as they called us. grin emoticon
There is so much temptation and peer pressure. More than I encountered in my day. The struggle is real people. Give them some ammunition for the battle.

Be cautious of who say Jesus is "a" son of God vs. "the Son". There is a difference.
You and I are "a" son of God. He said in Matthew 16:14, some say He's Elijah, and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.
"He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Matthew 16:15-16 WEB
Verse 17 begins, "Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you...".
Blessed are all who speak the true gospel.

"I will give thanks to you with uprightness of heart, when I learn your righteous judgments." Psalm 119:7 WEB
The word "when" here just did not sit well with me. It can be interpreted, I will wait until I learn, then I'll give thanks. Other translations use the word "as" instead of "when" which means while I'm learning, I will give thanks.
"Oh give thanks to Yahweh. Call on his name. Make what he has done known among the peoples." 1 Chronicles 16:8
"Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever." 1 Chronicles 16:34 / Psalm 118:29 / Psalm 136:26
How many know if it had to be said three times (in the bible), it has to be important? ;)
Thank you God for blessing my family, my friends and our Nation.

"Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls." James 1:21 WEB
If putting away wickedness saves your soul then being in it will kill it. Let's see what wickedness is:
wick·ed·ness (noun) - the quality of being evil or morally wrong.
synonyms: evil, sin, evildoing, sinfulness, iniquity, vileness, baseness, badness, wrongdoing, dishonesty, unscrupulousness, roguery, villainy, viciousness, degeneracy, depravity, immorality, vice, corruption, corruptness, devilry, fiendishness; malfeasance; informal crookedness; formal turpitude
In a sentence: "The sheer wickedness of what you have done defies description"

"being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6 WEB
David said this well.
"Yahweh will fulfill that which concerns me; your loving kindness, Yahweh, endures forever." Psalm 138:8a
Thank you God that you aren't done with me yet. :D

"Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to him be the glory in the assembly and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen." Ephesians 3:20-21 WEB
People often quote only part of this scripture. Please don't leave out or forget the part that says, "according to the power that works in us". So, what is the power that works in us?
"If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." John 14:14
"Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them." Mark 11:24
How do you believe you have received? Continue to thank God for it. I hear you, "I just can't lie and thank God for something I don't see". It's called "faith". If you get a paycheck or have direct deposit you believe the money is in the bank without seeing it. Well there you go.
I believe the Word of God over man's word any day.
(singing) WE'VE GOT THE POWER!!! ;) YEEEZZZ!!!

"As for God, his way is perfect. Yahweh’s word is tried. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him." Psalm 18:30 WEB
Need a shield of protection? "Try" the Word. Yahweh (God) and His Word are one.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1
Repeat aloud what God promised and believe it. Let the devil know you know. The Word works if you work the Word.

"The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it? I, Yahweh, search the mind, I try the heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings." Jeremiah 17:9-10 WEB
