Note the insect on the rose. If allowed to remain on the rose it would devour it. The Japanese Beetle in itself is a beautiful creature with irridescent copper-colored elytra and green thorax and head. Although beautiful, it is deadly to a flower garden.

Be watchful of those with whom you keep company.
Be watchful of those with whom you tell your secrets.
Be watchful of those with whom you give your heart.
Be watchful of who, what and where you invest time and money.

Why? To protect your interests, your heart and your soul.
