"In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins." 1 John 4:10 WEB

"(Love) doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness,
but rejoices with the truth; bears all things,
believes all things, hopes all things,
endures all things." 1 Corinthians 13: 6-7 WEB

"If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don’t have love, I am nothing. If I dole out all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don’t have love, it profits me nothing."   1 Corinthians 13:1-3 WEB

This one is so simple to understand. If we don't have love, anything we do, any talent we have or anything we give accounts for nothing.

Let me add, do not let others define love for you. Love is between God and you because He knows your heart. People will say, "If you really loved me..." or that people shouldn't say "I love you" if they don't. We should love everyone simply because God does. We do not have to like everyone, what they do, nor how they act. Some do not have likable personalities. We are to love them in spite of themselves. 😊

Scripture says in One John 4:8 (lil joke there 😂), "He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love." 1 John 4:8

God is love. No love, no God. Know God, know love.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust." Matthew 5:43-45 WEB

Ever wonder why Jesus said to deny yourself, pick up your cross and follow him? Look at what he did on the cross. He forgave his enemies.

Dying on the cross was the biggest thing Jesus did. Besides what he did for mankind, he did a selfless act that freed his enemies, haters so to speak. After doing so, he moved on to the next task (death, burial and resurrection).

See the picture here? When you forgive, you do the same. Unforgiveness is a hinderance. Forgiveness releases you to the next level by breaking that specific tie between you.

Please wrap this around your brain. Forgiveness does not let people off the hook. People have to answer to God. When you do not forgive, you put yourself on the level of God. Don't forget what happened to Satan when he did that. I just heard that the same time you did. lol #justsayin

Sidebar: Know this, it does not mean that you are besties again, going to the gym together or partnering in a business venture. That is a different subject altogether called, "Trust".

"He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me."  Luke 9:23

"He who follows after righteousness and kindness finds life, righteousness, and honor."   Proverbs 21:21 WEB

There's more to this than meets the eye, no pun intended. What we give, we get in return and then some. If it only said we'd get life, that would be enough for me because I know that's life more abundantly. (John 10:10 - "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.")

God will never be out-done. He will always pay the Highest.  😊

[By David the servant of Yahweh, who spoke to Yahweh the words of this song in the day that Yahweh delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. He said, ]

I love you, Yahweh, my strength. Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
