"bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do." Colossians 3:13 WEB
This subject I can speak well on. People say, "I just can't forgive them. You don't know what they did". I don't but you can, if you want. Maybe this will help. Forgiveness does not let them off the hook. It lets you off the hook. It breaks a bondage between you, them and an unpleasant situation.
We had to decide to do some big forgiving. How? We gave it to God after realizing grudges harm. They were cutting off our blessings because God says forgive. It removed stress. We were stressed out every time we saw the people while they were going about their daily life as usual. Stress is not good. It can cause many health problems.
Romans 12:19 helped: "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, “Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.” You might not ever know when this happens but be assured that God is true to His word. I have seen it at work without fail, "Don't be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." Galatians 6:7
Keep this in mind, "Don't rejoice when your enemy falls. Don't let your heart be glad when he is overthrown;" Proverbs 24:17. Also, "Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you." Luke 6:28
Luke 6:31 “As you would like people to do to you, do exactly so to them. 32 If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them."
I would write a book quoting all of Luke 6. Read the whole chapter. Good stuff there that will make you free.
Lastly, verse 35b: "and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil."
Again, "Don't be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." Galatians 6:7 That scripture can make you sad or happy. I pray it does the latter. YEEEZZZ!!!
