Why do so many people think things are solved with alcohol? I see so many responses to someone's problem "vodka helps", "make a martini".
I have nothing against drinking alcohol. As with anything, the bible says not to over do it.
With that said, your response can be the lift-up or take-down of someone. The last thing a once-alcoholic needs is a drink as a fix-all. You have no idea who falls in that category. God gave you a brain. Use it responsibly.
