"My little children, let’s not love in word only, or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth." 1 John 3:18 WEB

There are four types of love in the bible. Agape love is the highest form.

Agape is selfless, sacrificial, unconditional love, the highest of the four types of love in the Bible. Agape perfectly describes the kind of love Jesus Christ has for his Father and for his followers:

John 14:21 "One who has my commandments, and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.” Jesus Christ

"Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’"  Matthew 22:37-39 WEB

Love Love Love. You don't have to love by any standard but God's because God is Love. He loves us as we are not for what we do. He also loves us because we are His.

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart."   Jeremiah 29:11-13 WEB

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.

"Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us." 1 John 4:11-12

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39 WEB

I have heard people say they have done too much for God to forgive them. That is a lie the devil want people to believe. There is no big or little sin. God forgives. I read this, "For, Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13

Are you a "Whoever"? There you go.

"For this is the message which you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another;" 1 John 3:11 WEB

What we sow, we shall reap. So, really, what is love? Can you pass the love test?

"Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud,..." 1 Corinthians 13:4

Good so far?

"doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; 1 Corinthians 13:5

What about now? Still good? Okay!!!

"doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; " 1 Corinthians 13:6

We still okay? 😆

"bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails." 1 Corinthians 13:7-8a

Is it hot in here? 😰

How did we do? Don't answer that. I refuse to answer on the grounds it might incriminate me. Back to the alter. 😂

"If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don’t have love, I am nothing. If I dole out all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don’t have love, it profits me nothing."   1 Corinthians 13:1-3 WEB

This one is so simple to understand. If we don't have love, anything we do, any talent we have or anything we give accounts for nothing.

Let me add, do not let others define love for you. Love is between God and you because He knows your heart. People will say, "If you really loved me..." or that people shouldn't say "I love you" if they don't. We should love everyone simply because God does. We do not have to like everyone, what they do, nor how they act. Some do not have likable personalities. We are to love them in spite of themselves. 😊

Scripture says in One John 4:8 (lil joke there 😂), "He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love." 1 John 4:8

God is love. No love, no God. Know God, know love.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust." Matthew 5:43-45 WEB

Ever wonder why Jesus said to deny yourself, pick up your cross and follow him? Look at what he did on the cross. He forgave his enemies.

Dying on the cross was the biggest thing Jesus did. Besides what he did for mankind, he did a selfless act that freed his enemies, haters so to speak. After doing so, he moved on to the next task (death, burial and resurrection).

See the picture here? When you forgive, you do the same. Unforgiveness is a hinderance. Forgiveness releases you to the next level by breaking that specific tie between you.

Please wrap this around your brain. Forgiveness does not let people off the hook. People have to answer to God. When you do not forgive, you put yourself on the level of God. Don't forget what happened to Satan when he did that. I just heard that the same time you did. lol #justsayin

Sidebar: Know this, it does not mean that you are besties again, going to the gym together or partnering in a business venture. That is a different subject altogether called, "Trust".

"He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me."  Luke 9:23

"He who follows after righteousness and kindness finds life, righteousness, and honor."   Proverbs 21:21 WEB

There's more to this than meets the eye, no pun intended. What we give, we get in return and then some. If it only said we'd get life, that would be enough for me because I know that's life more abundantly. (John 10:10 - "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.")

God will never be out-done. He will always pay the Highest.  😊

But as it is written, “Things which an eye didn’t see, and an ear didn’t hear, which didn’t enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him.”  1 Corinthians 2:9 WEB

This is why it is so important not to speak negative about you, your family or a situation you have encountered. God has everything worked out and the blessing is on the way. Negative conversation allows the devil to stop whatever is coming.

Have no fear that's why I'm here, lol, to tell you this. Call crop failure on the negative things you have said. Kill those seeds so they don't take root and grow.

Yep, it's called repenting. Then speak positive and what God says. Release those blessings back into the spiritual so they can manifest in the natural. You have what you say be it bad or good.
