I was seeking God's face regarding the killing in Charleston, SC. It wasn't clear to me how people of God could be gunned down while praying in the house of God. I asked, "Won't people lose faith?"

Several scriptures were shown to me when I consulted God.
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," says Yahweh." Isaiah 55:8 WEB

"His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither did this man sin, nor his parents; but, that the works of God might be revealed in him." John 9:2-3 WEB

People often think someone did something wrong and that's why bad things happened. Sometimes it is to show God's work. Christians often pray asking God to use them for His service. Lyrics to a popular song are, "If You can use anything Lord / You can use me".

God looks for those who are willing to stand in the gap. In this case, God found nine. "I sought for a man among them, who should build up the wall, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it; ..." Ezekiel 22:30 WEB

Sidebar: "I should not destroy it" can also be interpreted "I should not allow it to be destroyed". Lord knows man is destroying our land.

After this killing in S.C. the work of God has been displayed as people across the races are coming together like never before. There is also revisiting of the display of a Confederate flag on government property. Consumers are pulling it from inventory.

Yes, it is sad that nine people had to lose their lives for people to stop viewing racism with eyes wide shut. We should not be sad for the nine heroes because they no longer have to put up with such a cruel cruel world. 2 Corinthians 5:8 reads, "We are courageous, I say, and are willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord."

Thank you God that your work is showing forth. I pray for the peace, strength and comfort of the families and friends of those killed and the people in S.C. I pray Your strength, wisdom and direction for the leaders in this country and around the world. I pray eyes of understanding are enlightened; that all may know what is the hope of Your calling, and the riches of the glory of Your inheritance(Eph. 1:18). In the precious name of Jesus. Amen

What if you had been one of the nine? Can you be sure absence from your body would have you at home with the Lord?

If not, you can by saying this, "God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. I believe Jesus Christ is your Son and He was sent to die in my place. Jesus, I am asking you to be my Savior. Thank you I believe I am saved. Amen"

If you said it, Congrats!!! Hooray!!! Praise God for you. Now find a Bible teaching church so you can know more about God and His promise to you. Also, you can follow me on Twitter @embracegracetoo and I will follow you back. DM me there if you want to chat (not debate).

Jesus said, "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." John 14:1-3 KJV

Please pray for Pastor Pinckney's family and friends and the Charleston Community for strength and peace that surpasses all understanding. Also for law enforcement and their families. Don't forget the family of the gunman and the gunman (that he turn himself in). God send a hedge of protection along with perfect laborers and ministering spirits into this situation in the name of Jesus. Amen

You have to let it drop down so you can be lifted up. :)

This one is long but when you're in a battle it's nice to know somebody has been there, done that and how they came out. :)

My sister posted this graphic and I love it. Open your hand, your heart, it's all the same.

"Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall." Proverbs 16:18
"If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:" Isaiah 1:19

God had me dealing with difficult people to learn patience. He was also testing what's in my heart. Obedience or pride?

People kept saying they wouldn't do it, it's a hobby. Pride was saying, kick them out, drop them. I knew God had purpose because He would say "No". OMG!!! My feelings would get hurt. I would get no respect. I was taunted, lied on, targeted, abandoned...  I'd be in tears wanting to "kick folks to the curb". I kept hearing, "No, be still. There is a purpose". Who knew doll clubs and celeb fan clubs were so cut-throat? Hobbies are suppose to be fun. :o

"Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness," Ephesians 6:13-14a

When I was caregiver for Mom(RIP) who had Alzheimer's it required the patience of Job. It not only required patience but strategy, something I learned dealing with difficult people. I said, "God now I know what you were teaching me. Thank you".

You know what? God finally gave me the exit from situations I had put up with for years. Sometimes people won't change, so God will remove them or you from the equation. The patience lesson is over. Grade A+. Blessing reward A+++. Ha!!!

When God sends you into the lions den, it doesn't feel good. Have enough confidence to be obedient knowing there is a blessing on the way. That's a feeling that pride could never give. YEEEZZZ!!!

"Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward." Hebrews 10:35

"bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do." Colossians 3:13 WEB

This subject I can speak well on. People say, "I just can't forgive them. You don't know what they did". I don't but you can, if you want. Maybe this will help. Forgiveness does not let them off the hook. It lets you off the hook. It breaks a bondage between you, them and an unpleasant situation.

We had to decide to do some big forgiving. How? We gave it to God after realizing  grudges harm. They were cutting off our blessings because God says forgive. It removed stress. We were stressed out every time we saw the people while they were going about their daily life as usual. Stress is not good. It can cause many health problems.

Romans 12:19 helped: "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, “Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.” You might not ever know when this happens but be assured that God is true to His word. I have seen it at work without fail, "Don't be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." Galatians 6:7

Keep this in mind, "Don't rejoice when your enemy falls. Don't let your heart be glad when he is overthrown;" Proverbs 24:17. Also, "Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you." Luke 6:28

Luke 6:31 “As you would like people to do to you, do exactly so to them. 32 If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them."

I would write a book quoting all of Luke 6. Read the whole chapter. Good stuff there that will make you free.

Lastly, verse 35b: "and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil."

Again, "Don't be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." Galatians 6:7 That scripture can make you sad or happy. I pray it does the latter. YEEEZZZ!!!

A man in a flood rejected the airplane, boat, helicopter and raft that came. He said, "I'm waiting on God to save me". He drowned, then later asked God why He did not save Him. God's response, "Who do you think sent the airplane, boat, helicopter and raft"?

There is an old saying, "Didn't see the forest because of the trees". Be cautious about looking at the instrument and not seeing the bigger picture. Rejecting the instrument is also a rejection of the blessing that comes with it. Don't drown while doing it your way. It's God's way. Always.

Isaiah 55:8-9 (WEB)

8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh.
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

"so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, without sin, to those who are eagerly waiting for him for salvation." Hebrews 9:28 WEB

On Facebook, I said I would look further into this. My question yesterday was : "Does this mean Christ will return and give a second chance to the unsaved to receive salvation? Or, does this mean his coming for the Christians to remove them from the Earth before it ends (which is a form of salvation too)?"

God said "It's simple. Read it again."

The first time God sent Jesus to sinners. He carried our sins. This particular salvation was set in place and remains today.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV) "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

The text refers to Him returning without sin to those waiting. It makes since. He's coming next to Christians. The salvation is removing us from this sinful world.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (NKJV) "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord."
